New Years Resolutions!
As we move further into the year wondering how the time is going by so quickly, I am guessing that those new years resolutions we clung so tightly to and swore we were going to adhere to this year, are already a thing of the past.
With the stress and worries of tax season, I can think of no better time than NOW to revive those brilliant ideas that likely included: kicking bad habits, striving for self-improvement, and just plain be aware of our presence in this world. The best way I can think of to accomplish all those things is Equine Therapy!!!!
Yup! You read it right! Equine Therapy. Although I think the name should be changed from “Equine Therapy” to “Learning things about yourself you never knew, outside in the moment not a desk to be found, and the ultimate awareness therapy,” but I couldn’t fit that one on a business card or a t-shirt, so “Equine Therapy” it is....
So since we live in a society where we have to be convinced to take care of ourselves and our needs, here is a brief list on why equine therapy should be on your bucket and resolution list for 2012.
- Horses are amazing!
- Horses tell us the truth.
- Horses are experiential! (as humans we learn by “DOING”)
- Horses live “In the moment” (let’s face it, this is something most of us struggle with).
- Horses don’t judge (no matter our story, the horse always honors it.)
- Horses are the ultimate guide to self-awareness.
- Horses are relationship experts!
- Taking care of yourself and learning about yourself is FUN!
- What do you have to loose?!
So, dust off those visions for 2012, set an appointment, and we will see you at the ranch! Our office is located in the pasture, with bookshelves made of air, the water cooler where everyone congregates bears a strong resemblance to a trough, there are no ceilings with fluorescent lights, the office clock peeks over the mountain as a friendly reminder that the day is starting, it doesn’t require batteries, or electricity.....and is the only clock I know that doesn’t loudly dictate your life, but serves as a gently reminder that life is good. When you arrive you will be greeted by a pasture full of four legged professionals that hold degrees in survival, awareness, and authenticity from the University of Life. Give your resolutions credence, and yourself a gift, and join us!
